It was Monday morning when I was going to school. I heard my neighbor telling his child that from today he would never go back to school. “You will start sitting here in the house and do house work.”
I was very sorry for her. Her mother yelled, “you lazy girl! Come here very quickly. The girl was crying and then her mother smacked her and said, “ you big girl, who are you crying like a small child?
Then her mother went to the shop to buy soap. She came back in the house and called the girl. “When I come back, I want you to have finished washing those clothes and utensils. I am giving you ten minutes.”
When her mother came back, the girl was not finished. “Mary come here! What have I told you, you lazy girl.” She started beating Mary. After that she punished Mary by forbidding her to eat in the house.
After two days, her mother told her that she would start looking after her smaller sister.
Then she told her that she would not be allowed to go outside or play.
Mary told her mother that she doesn’t want to watch the baby. “So what do you want?” Mary said that she wanted to go to school but then her mother abused her. Mary said, “even if you like it or not, I am going to school.” She went back to school the next day.
I want to say that everyone should stop child abuse and let children go to school. They have the right to learn and play.
